EPA Comes to Rockland

Congressman Mike Lawler and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin met this past Sunday to visit Rockland Green and highlight the Feed It Onward initiative. The new initiative brought forth by the Trump administration is designed to reduce food waste across the country.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, more than one-third of all food goes uneaten, contributing more waste to landfills than any other type of waste. The Feed It Onward initiative hopes to connect food donors with communities in need, thereby reducing food waste through highlighting the work done by community stalwarts such as Rockland Green.
