A few weeks ago, the RCT featured historical photos of the Suffern Library to celebrate the library’s centennial. To our great surprise and honor, we were included in the library’s time capsule, set to be opened in 25 years.
“A local paper is, ideally, the diary of a community. The June 4th edition of the RCT that was included featured an entire page of Letters to the Editor, a profile on an inclusive gym opening, a legislature meeting covering menstrual equity, a proposal for a new flag, and so much more. These are snapshots of the life of Rocklanders today, to be read by the Rocklanders of tomorrow,” said Sierra Lidén, Managing Editor of the RCT.
The time capsule was buried on June 12, 2026 and is set to be opened on June 12th, 2050.
