Sound the Alarm: Rescue Truck Needs Rescuing

In the wee hours of last Thursday, a Thiells FD Underwater Search and Rescue Truck was responding to a boating accident reported to be occurring in the Haverstraw Marina. While headed to the scene, the rescue truck crossed 9W and collided with a white Jeep. The truck then was forced off an embankment and crashed into the first floor of a two floor residential building on Railroad Avenue.

Four volunteer firefighters, one adult present at the home, and the minor driver of the Jeep were all transported to local hospitals, with reports saying all are expected to fully recover.
