Data Center Crisis Coalition to Hold Informational Zoom Meeting

The Data Center Crisis Coalition of NY/NJ will be holding a Zoom meeting on August 13th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss proposed moratoriums from the town and state.

The Zoom meeting will discuss what these moratoriums could mean for DataBank Phase 2, as well as what the Coalition believes should be done regarding data centers. The meeting will also cover the status of the DataBank expansion proposed next to the Lake Tappan reservoir and it’s potential impact on the O&R electrical grid.

This Zoom meeting comes in advance of the Orangetown Town Board meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 25th. This town board meeting will be holding a public hearing on the proposed local moratorium, and the Data Center Crisis Coalition Zoom meeting hopes to educate residents on the data centers before the public hearing.
