If You Can’t Do the Time, Don’t Sell the Wine

On August 21, 2026, the Spring Valley Police Department, in conjunction with  investigators from the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA), conducted a joint  enforcement operation at several bars and restaurants within the Village of Spring  Valley. 

During the operation, officers and SLA investigators conducted inspections at the  following establishments: 

• El Ray Del Pollo, 80 East Route 59
• Papusa Magica Restaurant & Bar, 96 East Route 59
• El Rodeo Steakhouse, 180 East Route 59
• El Pollo Grande Restaurant, 39 South Main Street
• Guadalajara Restaurant and Bar, 180 East Route 59 

Alcoholic Beverage Control violations were identified at each location. 

During the inspection of Guadalajara Restaurant and Bar, investigators found a large  number of patrons under the age of 21 who had been served and were in possession of  alcoholic beverages, along with several additional violations. As a result, the  establishment was shut down for the evening. The New York State Liquor Authority will  be handling the continued investigation.
