County Launches “Rockland Remembers” Video Series

As Rockland County marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, County Executive Ed Day and Economic Development & Tourism Director Jenna Nazario announce the debut of “Rockland Remembers,” a two-part video series honoring the selfless acts of courage and compassion demonstrated by Rockland County residents on September 11 and in the days that followed.

Launching this week across the County’s social media and YouTube pages, the series shares stories of local residents who stepped forward during one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history. It also connects that enduring legacy of service to the people who continue answering the call in Rockland today.

“Rockland Remembers tells the story of the enduring strength of our community that day and in the aftermath,” said County Executive Ed Day. “On September 11 and in the 25 years since, Rockland has continued to answer the call, and I hope all of our residents and beyond watch this powerful series.”

The County will also hold its annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. The public and media are invited to join County officials, family members, clergy, first responders, and community members in remembering the lives lost and reflecting on the lasting impact of that day.
