Police Investigating Apparent Suicide at Palisades Mall

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 7:25 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to 1000 Palisades Center Drive in West Nyack for a report of an individual who had jumped from an upper interior floor of the Palisades Center Mall.

An investigation determined that, at approximately 7:22 a.m., an adult male had jumped from an upper floor of the mall. The individual was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Clarkstown Police Department extends its condolences to the individual’s family and loved ones.
