 DA REPORT:


Elias Atkins-Dobie, age 34, residing at Farrell Street, South Burlington, VT, was sentenced November 22, 2011, before New York State County Court Justice William K. Nelson to a state prison term of 2 years and 3 years post release supervision after pleading guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 9, 2010, the vehicle the defendant was operating was pulled over for various vehicle and traffic infractions. After further investigation, a loaded .357 magnum handgun was recovered from the trunk of the vehicle.

Lawrence Coleman, age 37, residing at 31 Sharp Street, Haverstraw, NY, was sentenced November 15, 2011, before New York State Acting Supreme Court Justice William K. Nelson to a state prison term of 3 years and 5 years post release supervision after pleading guilty to Attempted Burglary in the 2nd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about on or about December 11, 2010 at approximately 3 p.m., the defendant pushed his way into the home of the victims wherein the defendant punched the male victim in the head and neck repeatedly. The defendant pushed the male victim down onto the bed where the female victim was located. The victims were able to fight the defendant off the male victim temporarily. The defendant picked up a purse but the female victim threw an object at the defendant causing him to drop the purse. He then ran out the house.
Juan Mizhirumbay-Guaman, age 40, residing at 3 Homer Lee Avenue, Apt. 1, Spring Valley, NY, was sentenced November 15, 2011, before New York State County Court Justice William K. Nelson to a state prison term of 12 years and 10 years post release supervision after pleading guilty to Rape in the 1st Degree.District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that in the late summer of 2010, the defendant had sexual intercourse with a 7-year-old female. The defendant was acquainted with the victim’s family.
Terrence Robertson, age 60, residing at 12 Nottingham Court, Montvale, NJ, pled guilty on November 14, 2011 to Driving While Intoxicated as a felony. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about May 10, 2011 at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Route 304 in the Town of Orangetown, the defendant was found to have been operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Sentencing is scheduled for February 20, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge.
STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Douglas E. Casscles, age 25, residing at 12 Silvestro Way, Garnerville, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, numerous vehicle and traffic offenses, and issuing a bad check x3. The defendant was arrested after the vehicle he was operating was involved in a car accident and an accident investigation revealed that he was operating a motor vehicle while his NYS driver’s license was suspended nine times for failing to answer a summons out of several jurisdictions. The defendant was also found to have outstanding warrants out of the Town of Haverstraw, The Town of Blooming Grove and the Town of Montgomery for issuing bad checks. The defendant was arrested, processed, and issued numerous traffic summonses returnable December 13, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant was turned over to the Town of Haverstraw Police Department after posting $100 bail.

Charles Conklin, age 56, residing at 57 Wayne Avenue, Stony Point, NY, was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into a domestic dispute at the defendant’s home where it is alleged he subjected his step-daughter to physical contact. The defendant was arrested, processed and later arraigned before the Honorable Judge Frank Phillips. The defendant was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Stony Point Justice Court on December 8, 2011 at 9 a.m.

Andrea Megale, age 48, residing at 12 North Liberty Drive, Apt. 10, Stony Point, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. The defendant was arrested following a vehicle and traffic stop. Further DMV inquiry determined that the defendants NYS driver’s license was suspended. The defendant was arrested, processed, and issued numerous summonses with a return court date in Stony Point Justice Court of December 15, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. and released.

Joseph Naclerio, age 29, residing at 25 A Spring Street, Stony Point, NY, was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into a domestic dispute at the defendant’s home.  The defendant’s actions did violate an Order of Protection that was in effect. The defendant turned himself in to the Stony Point Police Department and was arrested, processed and later arraigned before the Honorable Judge Frank Phillips. The defendant was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Stony Point Justice Court on December 8, 2011 at 9 a.m. and released after posting $500 bail.

Shanetha Picott, age 27, residing at 20 Coolidge Street, Haverstraw, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into a shoplifting complaint at the ShopRite of Stony Point where she is accused of stealing assorted grocery items, and possessing some. The defendant was arrested, processed, and issued an appearance ticket returnable in Stony Point Justice Court on January 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

Milton R. Sumba, age 30, residing at 58 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. The defendant was arrested following a vehicle and traffic stop. Further
DMV inquiry determined that the defendants NYS driver’s license was suspended for failing to pay a summons out of the Town of Ramapo. The defendant was arrested, processed, and issued numerous summonses with a return court date in Stony Point Justice Court of December 13, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. and released.
