VICTIMS, WITNESSES UNCOOPERATIVE IN LATIN GRILL SHOOTING

SUBMITTED BY SGT. HARRY BAUMANN, CLARKSTOWN PD

On January 21, 2012 there was a shooting at the Latin Grill Rt 59 Nanuet and as of this date there have been no arrests.

At this point the Clarkstown Police Department has had very little cooperation from either the victim (who was transported to Nyack Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest) or any of the witnesses that were at the scene. The police department has received several reports in the past of fights at this establishment. On February 4, 2012 the Clarkstown Police accompanied the State Liquor Authority to the Latin Grill to interview the owners (Hector Flores and Luis Fernando Camargo).

The establishment is currently serving liquor under a temporary liquor license awaiting a permanent license. The owners were advised that their application had been denied by the State Liquor Authority and from this point forward there was to be no consumption of alcoholic beverage on the premise. The Clarkstown Police Department will monitor the situation.
