Anthony Adolino, age 21, residing at 97 Gurnee Avenue, Haverstraw was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for thecrimes of Robbery in the 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree and CriminalPossession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 6, 2011 at approximately9:30 p.m., the defendant entered Shoprite, in the Town of Haverstraw and opened a box of Robitussincough syrup and removed the bottle and placed it in his pocket. The defendant attempted to walk outat which point the loss prevention officer approached him and asked that the product be returned. Thedefendant claimed not to have any merchandise and threatened the loss prevention officer with a box cutter.

Daniel Avila, age 17, residing at 126 Lake Street, Spring Valley and Edwin Thezan, age 23, residing at 13 Wood Street, Spring Valley were indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for thecrimes of Attempted Robbery in the 1st Degree and 2nd Degree and Assault in the 2nd Degree.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 17, 2012 at approximately2:19 a.m., the defendants attempted to rob another person on South Main Street in the Village ofSpring Valley. Both defendants were in possession of a baseball bat when they confronted the victim.Defendant Avila struck the victim with the bat and both defendants fled the area without stealing fromthe victim.

Joseph Carlson, age 37, residing at 206 River Mews Lane, Edgewater, NJ pled guilty on February 22, 2012 to Grand Larceny 4th Degree.District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about August 30, 2011 atapproximately 2 p.m. on Grant Avenue in Congers, the defendant stole $5,000 inUS currency.Sentencing is scheduled for May 2, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker,County Court Judge.

Jose Desucre, age 29, residing at2069 Stecher Avenue, Union, NJ
 was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree (8 counts), Petit Larceny (8 counts) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree (8 counts). District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 10, 2011 at approximately 4 p.m., the defendant conducted eight transactions at the Macy’s store in the Palisades Center Mall with eight counterfeit $100 bills. Once the defendant was apprehended, he had the Macy’s merchandise as well as the legitimate currency he received as change from his transactions.

Keisha Dilbert, age 33, residing at 957 East 216 Street, Apt. 1, Bronx and Rohan Haase, age 26, residing at 558 War Street, Brooklyn were indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for thecrimes of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about July 10, 2011, defendants stoleproperty valued at $991.31 from Wet Seal, and defendants stole property valued $2137.80 fromVictoria’s Secret, both in the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, NY.

Jason Dublin, age 33, residing at 22 Fitch Street, Walton was indicted on February 24, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for thecrimes of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (2 counts) and CriminalPossession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 9, 2012, at approximately9:30 p.m. on the NYS Thruway in the Town of Clarkstown, the vehicle the defendant was operating wasstopped for vehicle and traffic violations. After a search of the vehicle, the defendant was found to bein possession of one hundred grams of cocaine.

Pierre E. Esteril, age 51, residing at 244 North Mains Street, Spring Valley was sentenced February 28, 2012, before New York State Supreme Court Justice William K. Nelson to a state prison term of 2 to 4 years after pleading guilty to Attempted Assault in the 2nd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about March 09, 2011, at approximately 7:35 a.m., while in the Rockland County Correctional Facility because he had been previously charged with a crime, defendant fought with a correctional officer. The defendant caused the CO to sustain physical injuries, including a strained hamstring, and bruises and cuts to the neck, arms, torso, and legs.

Domingo Ferguson, age 30, residing at 2789 Briggs Avenue, Bronx, and Joel Santiago, age 22, residing at 42 Leonard Street, Haverstraw were indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury forthe crimes of Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of StolenProperty in the 5th Degree.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 3, 2012 at approximately7:55 pm, the defendants acting together broke the passenger window of a vehicle in the Town ofClarkstown and stole a GPS unit. The defendants were later found with the GPS unit still in theirpossession. The damage of the broken window totaled $690.

Conner Foss, age 19, residing at 141 West Canal Street, Winooski, VT was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 14, 2012, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the vehicle the defendant was operating was stopped for various vehicle and traffic violations while driving on the NYS Thruway in the Village of Chestnut Ridge. After a search of the defendant, the defendant was found to be in possession of twenty-two grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

Michael Francis, age 21, residing at 25 Tioken Road, Hillcrest and Rushawn Simpson, age 22, residing at 9 Locust Street, Hillcrest 
were indicted on February 24, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about November 17, 2011, Loss Prevention Officers observed the defendants, employed by Lord and Taylor leave the store during their shift numerous times and walk to Simpson’s vehicle in the parking lot. Inside the vehicle, Simpson and Francis removed items from inside their clothing and placed the items in the vehicle’s backseat. Simpson and Francis were stopped by Loss Prevention Officers. Simpson gave permission for a Loss Prevention Officer to search his vehicle. Numerous pieces of Lord and Taylor merchandise were recovered. The merchandise had a total value of $2,177.50.

Derrick Hall, age 20, residing at 33 W. Hickory Street, Spring Valley pled guilty on February 29, 2012 to Burglary in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about August 5, 2011 at approximately 10 p.m. on West Hickory Street, in the Town of Ramapo, the defendant entered a home through an unlocked window and stole property inside in the home. Sentencing is scheduled for May 9, 2012 before the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge.

Jamaal Jack, age 19, residing at 15 Ewing Avenue, Apt. 5B, Spring Valley
 was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of Robbery in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 18, 2012, at approximately 6 p.m., the defendant forcibly stole a cell phone and cash from a taxi driver who had given him a ride to Central Nyack.

Vicente Lema, age 44, residing at 51 Bethune Boulevard, Spring Valley was indicted on February 24, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, as a Felony and Driving While Intoxicated, as a Felony and Aggravated Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about October 9, 2011 at approximately 11:40 p.m., the defendant was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Memorial Drive in Spring Valley, and fled the scene. The officers located the defendant several hundred yards away walking on the street. The defendant admitted he had been operating the vehicle that caused the accident. The officers smelled alcohol on his breath and observed him unsteady on his feet. The defendant failed various field sobriety tests and a chemical analysis of his breath revealed his blood alcohol content to be .20%. The defendant had previous DWIs in 2004 and 2008 in Spring Valley.

Michel Momoh, age 54, residing at 2 Second Avenue, Apt. 8, Spring Valley was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for thecrimes of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, as a Felony, Driving While Ability Impaired byThe Combined Influence of Drugs and Alcohol, as a Felony and Criminal Possession of a ControlledSubstance in the 7th Degree.District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about October 15, 2011 at approximately1:50 a.m., the defendant was observed by a Spring Valley Police Officer driving an unregistered,uninsured and uninspected vehicle in the Village of Spring Valley. The defendant also failed to signalprior to making a turn. The officer pulled over the vehicle and upon approaching the officer observedthe defendant to be in an intoxicated condition as evinced by the odor of an alcoholic beverage, slurredspeech, glassy eyes and impaired motor coordination. The defendant’s blood alcohol content wasrevealed to be .16%.

Marcus Moore, age 28, residing at in Brooklyn pled guilty on December 5, 2011 to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about June 17, 2011 at approximately 10:01 p.m. on I-87 in the Village of South Nyack, subsequent to a vehicle and traffic law stop, the defendant was ound to possess a clear plastic zip-lock bag containing approximately 490 glassine envelopes of heroin, with intent to sell same. On January 25, 2012, the defendant was sentenced by the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge to 2 ½ years in State Prison and 1 ½ years Post Release Supervision. The defendant’s license was also suspended for 6 months.

Gregory Olori, age 47, residing at 491 Country Club Lane, Pomona was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Assault in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Government Administration in the 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about January 21, 2012 at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Haverstraw Police responded to the Chuggin Rhino restaurant located in Pomona for a reported disorderly person. Upon arrival, the defendant fled the scene and led a police officer on a foot chase. When the officers reached the defendant, he resisted arrest and injured the officer during the struggle.

Antoine V. Scott, age 30, residing at 2 Belfour Drive Wappinger Falls was sentenced February 28, 2012, before New York State Supreme Court Justice William K. Nelson to a state prison term of 10 years and 5 years post release supervision after pleading guilty to Burglary in the 1st Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about December 16, 2010 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the defendant acting in concert with two other individuals, pushed themselves into a residence located on Ridge Avenue in the Village of Spring wearing masks over their nose and mouth. The defendant with another individual taped the two women victims’ hands and feet after taking their cell phones, jewelry and a clear bag containing a white substance located in a safe. The victims were able to call the police and the defendant was later located in an apartment complex in the Village of Spring Valley.

Merton Taylor, age 48, residing 239-65 148th Road, Rosedale pled guilty on December 14, 2011 to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about August 18, 2010 at approximately 4 p.m. at Macy’s in the Palisades Center Mall, the defendant used an American Express card which did not belong to him to purchase 2 Movado watches totaling $2,375.04. The defendant did not have permission or authority from the victim to use her credit card. The defendant was also found in possession of numerous fraudulent credit cards and a fraudulent New York State license. On January 25, 2012, the defendant was sentenced by the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge to 1 ½ – 3 years in state prison.

James Vines, age 50, residing at the Rockland County Correctional Facility, New City was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime Assault in the 2nd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about October 4, 2011 at approximately 6:50 p.m. at the Rockland County Jail, where the defendant is an inmate, he caused injury to a corrections officer during a struggle.

Brett Wallace, age 40, residing at6 Henry Street S., Apt. 1A, Pearl River was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about February 18, 2012, at approximately 4:49 a.m., the victim woke up to the sound of breaking glass. The victim looked out the window and observed the defendant breaking all his car windows. The damage to the vehicle totaled $1,500.

Doreen Wigfall, age 43, residing at 148 Depew Avenue #2, Nyack
 was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about and between January 1, 2009 and August 31, 2011, stole $33,344 in United States currency from the Nyack Housing Authority by fraudulently receiving housing subsidy monies to which she was not entitled. When applying and recertifying for benefits, the defendant misled the agencies involved in overseeing the benefit programs. The defendant falsely reported who was living in the residence and underreported income to allow her to qualify for a higher level of benefits. The arrest of the defendant on September 15, 2011, resulted from an investigation conducted by the Rockland County Special Investigations Unit and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General.

Christian M. Williams, age 22, residing at 715 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry pled guilty on October 31, 2011 to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 2, 2011 at BJ”s Wholesale located at the Palisades Center Mall, the defendant purchased an iPod using a forged debit card. The debit card contained different account numbers encoded on the magnetic strip than the account number embossed on the front of the card. The defendant was also found to be in possession of numerous other forged credit cards, a fraudulent Pennsylvania Driver’s license and a credit card encoder. On February 29, 2012, the defendant was sentenced by the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge, to 1 ½ – 3 years in state prison.

Latoya Wilson, age 22, residing at 154 East124th Street, New York was indicted on February 29, 2012 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree (4 counts), Forgery in the 2nd Degree, Attempted Identity Theft in the 1st & 2nd Degree and Attempted Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about September 26, 2011 at approximately 11:17 a.m., the defendant went to the Chase Bank located on Dutch Hill Road in Orangeburg and presented herself as someone else by using fraudulent documents and fraudulently completing withdrawal slips.

STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Ronald Babcock, age 41, residing at 11 Lee Avenue, Stony Point was arrested on February 28, 2012 for Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree. The defendant was arrested following a domestic violence investigation where it is alleged the defendant violated a stay away Order of Protection. The defendant was arrested, processed, and arraigned before the Honorable Judge Frank Phillips, and released on an appearance ticket returnable March 13, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.

Iasia Georges, age 19, residing at 139 Quaker Road, Pomona was arrested for Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree by Stony Point Police Department with the assistance of the Town of Haverstraw Police Department. She was arrested following an accident investigation where it was determined there was an active Bench Warrant for defendant out of the Stony Point Justice Court. The defendant was arrested, processed, and arraigned before the Honorable Judge William F. Franks and late released on an appearance ticket returnable on March 13, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. after posting $150 bail.
