Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern cut the ribbon on Wednesday to unveil its newly renovated Chemical Dependency Unit. Plenty of staff was on hand to witness the ribbon cutting, which took place after several short speeches and a blessing from the chaplain.
The Chemical Dependancy Unity at Good Samaritan is currently in its 25th year. The unit is licensed and certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Each taking a pair of scissors the staff, including Executive Vice President and COO of Bon Secours Charity Health System Gerry Durney, they cut the ribbon officially opening the new wing. The wing will begin operating today.
