Keren Avisrur of Monsey (right) was one of two featured speakers at the May graduation ceremony of the first class of the Touro College of Pharmacy in New York City, where she was joined by 62 fellow graduates earning their PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degrees. Pictured with fellow speaker Charysh Randolph, Ms. Avisrur received the Excellence in Pharmacy Award from Mylan Pharmaceuticals, which recognizes students in the top 25 percent of their class with high motivation and exemplary skills in communicating drug information. The class of 2012 began its studies in 2008 when the college opened in Harlem as New York City’s first new pharmacy school in 68 years.
