CHANGE OF PLANS

One month after telling the Rockland County Times she would be running again in 2012, longtime Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun (R) has announced she will not be seeking reelection after all.

Republicans running for the seat are reformist Colin Schmitt, Blooming Grove Supervisor Frank Fornario Jr. and Goshen Mayor Kyle Roddey.

Calhoun has offered her support to Roddey, who beat her for the party’s endorsement at Thursday’s night Orange County GOP convention.

Calhoun has been under fire in the past year, after it was revealed she is receiving her pension while still holding office.
