It may not look too hopeful at the moment, but Supervisor Geoff Finn told the Rockland County Times that the proposed Malloy’s Park in Stony Point “is predicted to be finished in the early fall.” Finn met with the project manager for the park last week, he said.
Of course the site on the corner on 9W and East Main St. is the site of the former Malloy’s Pharmacy building which had been in the center of the old downtown Stony Point for many generation.
Finn said when completed the park will have a monument and “hopefully” a nice street clock as well as “some benches and nice shrubbery.”
