The Town of Stony Point is hosting an EPA-sponsored workshop that Councilwoman Luanne Konopko says “is designed to help chart a course for Stony Point’s future.”
Konopko said, “I know everyone is busy, but this is an important opportunity for the community to have a discussion with elected officials, representativesย from public agencies, and economic development consultants on where we are and where we want to be.”
The workshop is a two-day event and Konopko said the community-at-large is encouraged to attend at least the opening night presentation, which will take place tonight, Thursday, June 21, from 6-8 p.m. Part two is tomorrow, Friday, June 22, from 9 a.m. -4 p.m
Funding for this effort is provided by EPA’โs Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities program. Stony Point was one of 56 communities selected nationwide by the EPA to receive technical assistance through the program in 2012. Councilwoman Konopko led efforts to get the grant.
