Empire City Casino kicked off its Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 1 with Cornell Gunter’s Coasters, The Platters and Sounds of the Drifters. Other acclaimed acts of the concert series include Pat Benatar, Eddie Money, The Spin Doctors, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Concerts will be performed outdoors trackside every Sunday through the end of August. Racing fans and casino-goers alike are the big winners when the prestigious Yonkers Trot, the first jewel in Trotting’s Triple Crown, takes place on Saturday, July 7. Not only will the premier three-year-old trotters in America converge on the historic half-mile oval to compete for a guaranteed purse of $450,000, but beginning at 6:00pm, the first 2,000 patrons will receive a free Yonkers Trot Pilsner Glass by visiting designated locations (trackside, and wagering locations on the 2nd & 4th floors). Then beginning at 7 p.m., the first 500 Empire Club Members to visit the Gotham Palace promotions booth will receive one free superfecta box ticket for the Yonkers Trot.
