This Friday, August 17 – Sunday, August 19, The Nyack Village Theater will screen a program of the latest in independent films.
Why a local film festival? Local festivals like the Nyack Film Festival bring rarely seen little gems to the community. These festivals provide entertainment for both younger and older audiences. Another opportunity to bring this great town together as a community.
The Nyack Village Theater will host independent films like the award-winning “A Girl, A Guy, A Space Helmet,” written & directed by native New Yorker Mike Timm, this indie sci-fi romantic comedy includes music from local Nyack resident Bob Timm.

Bob’s a drummer who’s been active for many years with some of New York’s best ska and reggae musicians.ย His current band, The Hard Times, is about to be featured in “Brooklyn Rocksteady” – an independent documentary about the revival of vintage reggae music.ย For all show times & tickets, visitย www.nyackvillagetheatre.com
