The 14th Annual Mid-Rockland Arts Festival & Holiday Crafts Fair, sponsored by the Nanuet Hebrew Center, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 18.
The festival will feature noted artists not only from Rockland County but from all over the United States as well as Israel. There will be a versatile mix of ceremonial art, stained glass, drawings, watercolors, oil paintings, sculpture, woodworking, ceramics and jewelry. Many of these artists and crafts people are internationally renowned and are returning to this year’s festival in time for the holiday gift season. In all there are over 20 vendors.
The event will kick off on Saturday, November 17 at 8 p.m. with a gala “sponsor’s sale” and cocktail reception. Those attending the Saturday night advance viewing will have the first opportunity to purchase works of art as well as to meet many of the talented artists. Saturday night admission is $25 per person, which includes admission on Sunday.
The Saturday night reception and advance viewing will honor Naomi & Eliott Newman, Fran Melamed and Marsha Levitus for their energetic volunteer work in support of many of the congregation’s activities throughout the year.
Sponsorships and booth space are still available. Contact artsfestival@nanuethc.org or the synagogue office @ 845-708-9181 for additional information. Sponsors will be acknowledged in the Arts Festival Program.
