THE FINAL FAREWELL

Ellen Ferretti’s ghost has been released, as her home on the corner of Rt. 59 and Middletown Rd., built by the hands of her father in the early 1900s, was razed last week by Simon Group.

Mounds of dirt currently stand in the lot–the last remaining residential property in the immediate area–which the stubborn Ferretti long refused to sell to Simon. With her passing four years ago, the lot’s fate was sealed, as only Ferretti herself could find the home to be as valuable as she did.
