Active International and the Rockland Boulders Baseball team have extended until Tuesday, January 15 the deadline for applications for the 2013 Active International Rockand Boulders Charity Challenge. Under the program, local non profits benefit from fundraising activities during some Boulders games. This year all participating charities will receive an equal allotment of tickets purchased and donated by the charity challenger. Charities can raise even more money by providing a creative premium level experience to their supporters.
The non-profits, chosen by Active International, come from a pool of applying regionally based organizations. Applications are available on line at Rockland Boulders.com. The 13 non-profits included in the 2013 Charity Challenge will be soon announced.
The Boulders, part of the CanAm League, have also extended their Early Bird Season Discount deadline to Tuesday, January 13. The discounts go for as little as $8 a game for 50 home games. The Boulders 2013 season starts at Provident Bank Ballpark May 16 against the Newark Bears when new manager Jamie Keefe will make his debut. On May 22, the Can Am Leagues newest entry, the Trois Rivieres Aigles will be in town.
