MICHAEL J. DAY PROMOTED TO SERGEANT

Michael J. Day of New City, assigned to Special Warfare Center, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, has been promoted to Sergeant, U.S. Army. Sergeant Day, a 2005 graduate of Clarkstown North High School and 2009 graduate of Iona College, is completing a process of Special Forces training, where he is working toward earning the coveted Green Beret. Sergeant Day previously received his Airborne qualification at Fort Benning. Day is the son of Jean and Edwin Day of New City.
