Bathroom floor collapse leads to death in Stony Point

Diane Wilson, age 63, of 60 Crickettown Rd. in Stony Point was found deceased in her home today.

She had apparently been in her bathroom on the second floor when the floor collapsed. She was found with one leg between the collapsed floor and the ceiling of the downstairs room.

An elderly woman, Rosemary Wilson, age 91, was found in an adjacent bedroom “conscious but incoherent,” according to police. The death does not appear to be suspicious, police said.

Diane Wilson’s employers had called authorities asking they check up on her, after she failed to show up to work for three days, police noted.
