At 4:10 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch, forecasting the likelihood of 10-18 inches of snow on Friday afternoon into Saturday morning in the Rockland County area. On top of that 1/4″ of freezing rain is possible, the weather forecasting service says. Winds will be north 15 to 25 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH and temperatures in the upper 20s.
