Robert Shaw of Stony Point has recently been named chief operating officer at Children’s and Women’s Physicians of Westchester, LLP (CWPW), the largest group of pediatric and medical specialists of its kind in the Greater New York region. The announcement was made by Gerard Villucci, CEO of CWPW.
“The addition of the chief operating officer position at CWPW is something we considered for a long time and is indicative of the rate of growth that we have enjoyed in the last few years,” Villucci states. “With the meteoric growth of CWPW, we are reaching into more communities, providing a full complement of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to infants, children, adolescents and selected adults. With more than 240 physicians, we currently operate 39 medical offices throughout New York’s Hudson Valley, Northern New Jersey and Connecticut, adding 14 practices within the past year alone.”
Shaw has enjoyed a distinguished career in health care administration spanning 25 years. Prior to joining CWPW, Shaw served as vice president of revenue cycle at Westchester Medical Center, a 652-bed facility located in Valhalla, New York, for five and a half years. The facility includes the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Previously, Shaw spent 18 years at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in The Bronx, New York, where he held many roles, including vice president of Ambulatory Care and Emergency Services, and chief restructuring officer.
