10th Anniversary ‘American Ideal’ All-star Singing Competition on April 12
CONGERS – Shortly after “American Idol” premiered in 2002 ARC of Rockland created its own version of the singing competition called “American Ideal.” ARC is celebrating the event’s 10th anniversary with special performances by past winners in an all-star competition on Friday evening, April 12, at ARC’s headquarters located at 25 Hemlock Drive in Congers.
Pop star Melinda Ademi of this season’s ‘American Idol’ has volunteered to open the “American Ideal” show with a live performance. Ademi is a 19-year-old artist/singer/performer from Yonkers, N.Y. She was featured on “American Idol” Season 10 and recently made the Top 40 of Season 12. Optimistic and excited for the future, Ademi is currently pursuing music and working on original music in hopes of landing a record deal in the near future.
