Stony Point Airman Graduates Basic Training

Air Force Airman Thomas M. Nelson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Nelson is the son of Jeffrey and Joan Nelson of Greyridge Farm Court, Stony Point. He is a 2011 graduate of North Rockland High School, Thiells.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
