The history of Lederle Labs in Pearl River will be the topic of conversation on Saturday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at the Tappan Library.
Local photographer, environmentalist, author and activist George Potanovic, Jr. will discuss his book, “Honoring Our Heritage: Celebrating the People, Science and Innovation at Pearl River,” which traces the 105- year history of Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, N,Y. from its founding by Dr. Ernst Lederle to its present status as a Pfizer plant.
The book received a Historical Preservation Citation from the Historical Society of Rockland County at the Historical Society Preservation Merit commemoration in May 2012.
