Jennifer’s sweet lil beauty blog: Anti-Wrinkle: Eye Can’t Get Enough

I am no longer the spring chicken I once was. BUT with age, comes experience and all of these ‘experiences’ lead to just a few more wrinkles than I’d like to admit. I’d like to think of getting older as a gift and I am taking this ‘gift’ in stride and choose to age gracefully. There’s truly no stopping the hands of time, so you might as well make the most of it and take the opportunity to give your skin the best possible chance of prolonging it’s vibrant & youthful look.

One fabulous perk to working in the beauty business (Shiseido specifically) is being exposed to quality skincare products & having the opportunity to test these items often. I walk around the floor of my company and notice how young, beautiful and bright-eyed many of the women are. These are women who have been using Shiseido anti-wrinkle products for years, upon years. And guess what? The proof is in the pudding, people! I’ve been witness to visible results on real women who have the same concerns I know I definitely have, and the same concerns you might have. This brand IS the best in anti-aging, no questions asked!

I blog about products that I love & believe in so listen up, my little nuggets! I know that I can be impatient at times (I’m from NY and work in NYC, what do ya want from me?!). I know that I need results yesterday, which is why when I want a quick boost to the eye area, I throw on Shiseido’s Benefiance Pure Retinol Instant Treatment Eye Mask (1 box = 12 packettes at $62.50 USD). This product comes with two eye masks in a tray soaked in product. Leave the under-eye mask on for approximately 15 minutes before peeling off. If any excess product remains on the skin, gently rub in a circular motion until it’s fully dissolved. The recommended use is about 2-3 times a week. It’s meant for an instant eye boost, and let me tell you, your skin tightens up QUICKLY! My under-eye area was visibly smoother, the lines were reduced and the skin was much tighter. I could tell right away that it began working the moment I applied the masks. There was a cooling effect that made my skin feel like it had been infused with powerful ingredients. To my pleasant surprise, my concealer went on much smoother & looked that much better because the canvas I had to begin with was given the boost it needed. I HIGHLY recommend this product to all, especially the girl who is constantly on-the-go and / or who enjoys instant gratification, like yours truly 🙂

Not everyone is blessed with dark circle-free eye sockets, myself included. This is why I went looking for a product that could help me with this little nuggety dilemma. I live by my concealer, but there are times when I’d like to go out of the house without feeling the need to slather it on. Since regularly using Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream ($55 USD), I’ve noticed my dark circles lighten up a bit, which makes me extremely happy! This heavenly cream not only smells delicious, but it helps to improve the look of your under-eye area by fading existing pigmentation & increasing circulation. Your eyes begin to appear bright & luminous upon consistent use (AM & PM). All you need to do is apply a dime size amount and use under both eyes. Massage in a circular motion until all product is completely dissolved into the skin.

My third and final defense against the formation of wrinkles is one of Shiseido’s newest products on the shelf, Bio-Performance Super Corrective Eye Cream ($60 USD). The very first thing you notice about this item is the highly attractive, bright shiny gold packaging. The second thing you notice are the results. This rich, luxuriously creamy and moisturizing product, starts to make your eyes look lifted, brighter, tighter and any surrounding fine lines are visibly reduced. After multiple uses, I noticed my under-eye areas firmer and smoother, due to the intense moisture this product posses. I love that this product smells amazing, yet doesn’t give me a headache like most fragrance infused products do. This item is by far the most luxurious of the three, but it is worth every penny! This is perfect for the woman just beginning to notice fine lines & wrinkles but is unsure of which product to use to prevent the progression of these. It’s a great ‘introduction’ into incorporating an anti-wrinkle product into your regimen.
