Catholic elementary schools in Rockland will once again offer a universal open house day for parents interested in learning more about Catholic schools in the region.
Launched in October 2012, the Archdiocese of New York has deemed Touring Tuesday program a success and made it a permanent initiative for the area. This yearโs program comes as parents and students typically make education decisions for the next school year. The next Touring Tuesday will not be until the start of the school year in the Fall.
Prospective families can take the opportunity to visit and see Catholic schools in action, meet principals and parent ambassadors. The program will return on October 22 and November 19, and are set to be held on select Tuesdays throughout the 2014 school year.
On May 21, five Catholic elementary schools in Rockland will be open for visitors from 9-11 a.m. for the Touring Tuesday open house. Pre-registration is required, and evening appointments will be made on an individual basis, as needed. To register for a Touring Tuesday open house, call 646-794-2885 or visit www.buildboldfutures.org.
TOURING TUESDAY Open Houses will be held at:
Sacred Heart School in Suffern
St. Anthony School in Nanuet
St. Gregory Barbarigo School in Garnerville
St. Margaret School in Pearl River
St. Paul School in Valley Cottage
In addition to Rockland, Touring Tuesdays will also take place on May 21 in the pilot regions of Staten Island and the Northwest/South Bronx.
