On Thursday, May 16, at approximately 9:04 p.m., Ramapo Police responded to a report of a noxious odor in the area of 3 Beatrix Rd., in the Village of Airmont.
Tallman FD responded to the scene and called out Rockland County Hazmat. The odor was identified as an insecticide which had been used by a neighbor. An 84-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl complained of chest pain and were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Also transported to Good Samaritan, as a precaution, were three children ages 5, 11, and 16. Rockland County Paramedics, along with Sloatsburg and Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp, treated the victims and transported them to the hospital.
