Pomona Village Trustee Rita Louie announced Wednesday that she is challenging longtime incumbent Howard Phillips in the Democratic primary for Town of Haverstraw supervisor. Louie exclaimed on social media, “Time for a change and some fresh new ideas to move this town forward into the 21st Century! It’s gonna be a really hot summer, people!”
Louie would be the first woman to be a town supervisor in Rockland.
