Stony Point โ€“ The Stony Point Senior Citizens Club celebrated its 43rd annual anniversary party at the ballroom of the Patriot Hills Golf Course on May 22, honoring members and ushering in new board members for the year of 2013.

โ€œEverybodyโ€™s here to have a good time and have a good meal,โ€ Outgoing Vice President Simone Schassler

Outgoing President Loretta Perini explained the lunch was a longstanding tradition with the goal of keeping seniors happy and active. Before meeting at Patriot Hills, the event was typically held at Trinity Methodist Church.

โ€œIt has been our goal to keep everybody as active physically and mentally as we can,โ€ Perini said.

Seniors enjoyed food and drink, danced to classic tunes, and received thanks for their continued support for the organization over the years. Among those honored were 11 women and two men over the age of 90 and senior of the year Lilly Ann Wilson, who was not able to attend.

The Club boasts over 90 members, helmed this year by President Chris Pearsall and Vice Presidents George Harris and Jackie Moore. Other new board members include Corresponding Secretary Joyce Lichtman, Recrording Secretary Marge Egan and Treasurer Mimi Morina.
