DA REPORT:
PROMOTING & POSSESSING OBSSCENE SEXUAL PERFORMANCE BY A CHILD
Linton Wright III, age 44, residing at Wilshire Drive, Chestnut Ridge, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child (18 counts) and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child (18 counts). District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about and between August 30, 2011 and September 4, 2011, the defendant promoted eighteen videos containing obscene sexual performances by children under the age of 17.ย ย On or about November 14, 2012, the defendant possessed 18 videos containing obscene sexual performances by children under the age of 16.
BURGLARY, ASSAULT & RESISTING ARREST
Matthew Hecht, age 29, residing at 128 Waters Edges, Congers, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of burglary in the second degree, assault in the second degree (two counts) and resisting arrest. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about November 7, 2012 at approximately 4:50 p.m., the defendant forced himself into the victimโs home and began to wrestle with the victim. The victim was able to force the defendant out the door but the defendant dragged the victim out with him. The defendant and victim continued to struggle outside the home. The victim sustained a broken rib, injured shoulder and broken tooth. Police officers responded to the struggle and the defendant attacked the officers. One of theย ย officers sustained an injured knee.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, ATTEMPTED ASSAULT & CRIMINAL POSESSION OF A WEAPON
Donovan Jackson, age 16, residing at 20 Orchard Street, Yonkers, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of attempted robbery in the first and second degree, attempted assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about May 6, 2013 at approximately 10:15 p.m., the defendant attempted to rob the victim of his money and cell phone with a box cutter. The victim refused and the defendant attempted to cut him and then punched the victim on the face causing injuries to the victim.
BURGLARY & ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
Michael Jenkinson, age 20, 18 Fred Hecht Drive, Apt. A, Spring Valley, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of burglary in the second degree (9 counts) and attempted burglary in the second degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about and between April 10 and April 29, 2013, the defendant burglarized nine residences and attempted to burglarize another all located in Nanuet, Town of Clarkstown. The defendant was arrested and questioned when a victim of one of the burglarized homes recognized the defendant.
CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Andre Lewis, age 31, residing at 4059 Bruner Ave., Bronx, NY, and Fabian Solomon, age 27, also residing at 4059 Bruner Ave., Bronx, NY, were indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of criminal possession of marijuana in the first degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about May 2, 2013 at approximately 11:00 a.m., the defendants were stopped while traveling on Route 202 in Pomona for vehicle and traffic violations. The defendants were found to be in possession of over 10 pounds of marijuana.
SEXUAL ABUSE
Edith Pacheco, age 30, residing at 12 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crime of sexual abuse in the first degree. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about December 3, 2012 at approximately 1:15 a.m., the defendant entered the victimโs room. The defendant held down the victim and sexually abused the victim. The defendant then placed her hand over the victimโs nose and mouth impeding the victimโs ability to breath.
RESISTING ARREST & ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD
Jason Rickens, age 31, residing at 19 N. Main Street, Spring Valley, NY, was indicted on May 22, 2013 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of assault in the second degree (2 counts), resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe stated that on or about May 13, 2013 at approximately 11:15 p.m., the defendant refused to comply with orders to stay back as the police officers investigated a domestic assault case in the Village of Spring Valley. The defendant, who was holding his one and a half-year-old son threw a punch at one of the officers which struck another officer in the face. After a struggle, the defendant is place under arrest. As a result of the struggle two officers were injured and treated at a local hospital.
