In celebration of 100 Years of Harriman Park Summer Camps, a family camp song sing-a-long will be held on June 9 at 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Historic Jacob Blauvelt House located at The Historical Society of Rockland County (HSRC), 20 Zukor Road, New City, NY. All ages are welcome for a fun-filled afternoon of camp songs for the whole family!
Guests should bring chairs, blankets, rhythm instruments and strong voices! No experience required! “We are looking forward to welcoming old friends and new, who want to relive favorite times at camp by singing songs that they remember and that they want their children and grand-children to learn,” said Sue Scher, curator of the exhibition.
This event is being held in conjunction with the current exhibition celebrating the centennial of the Group Summer Camps in Harriman State Park. The exhibition will be open during the sing-a-long and light refreshments will be served.
In the event of rain, the sing-a-long will be held in the HSRC community room. Admission is free, reservations are strongly encouraged. For reservations call 845-634-9629 or email info@rocklandhistory.org.
