The 10th annual North Rockland 3-Mile run/walk will take place on Sunday, June 2 at 9 a.m. at Bowline Point Park, Haverstraw.
Registration begins 7 a.m. and the children’s race begins at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Luke Colluzie, who will eventually require a bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with a rare and serious immune disease known as CGD, Carmello Farrior, a first grader at West Haverstraw Elementary School who is in need of a kidney transplant, and Michelle Ramos-Baez, a 12-year-old girl suffering from dysarthria which is a disturbance of speech and spastic diplegia which is a form of cerebral palsy.
Anyone interested in participating can pick up an application at www.townofhaverstraw.org. Entry forms can also be obtained Sunday morning. All children 12 and under will receive medals. The event will be held rain or shine and there is expected to be a huge turnout.
