Friday, June 21, 7:30 p.m. Nyack Village Theatre presents Poetry Rising with host Cherie Raglin, spoken word artist and four time nominee for an Arts Council of Rockland County Executive Arts Award, featuring nationally acclaimed NYC Slam Poets Jeanann Verlee, six time National Poetry Slam Semifinalist and Urbana Slammaster and Kyle Rapps, Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam Finalist, Hip Hop Artist, Founder of the Mayhem Poets and Winner of Bill Gates Grand followed by OPEN MIC. Doors open and open mic sign up at 7:30 p.m. Performance begins at 8 p.m. $10 admission.
