SMITTY GETS ‘ER DONE

The Orangetown Town Board passed a resolution unanimously to put a referendum on the November ballot to abolish the Receiver of Taxes Office and merge it with the Town Clerk Office, which they hope will save taxpayers money.

Chris Smith, a candidate for receiver of taxes, has been advocating the change for over a year now and was at the meeting to speak in favor of this.
