Radio Control Club on the “War Path”

The Hudson Valley Radio Control Club will be hosting two great events in 2013 at the Haverstraw Scenic Riverview Park on Beach Road, West Haverstraw.

The first event, “Warbirds Over the Hudson,” will be held on Saturday, July 20, and will feature scale military aircrafts from WWI through today’s moder aircraft. Food will be available for purchase, with all the proceeds going toward charity. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In case if rain, the event will be held on Sunday, July 21.

The second event, the fourth annual “Town of Haverstraw Airshow,” will be held on Saturday, August 17. This event will feature many spectacular model planes of all shapes on sizes. Attendees will have the opportunities of trying flight simulators and even flying a club trainer with an experienced instructor! The event will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with the rain date being Sunday, August 18. Refreshments will be served free, courtesy of the Town of Haverstraw. Spectator parking will be available across the street at the Haverstraw Bay County Park, and free shuttle service will be provided by Haverstraw Transit.
