Vladimir Leon’s Campaign Files Suit to Stay on Ballot; Working on Creating Independent Line

An Order to Show Cause SU-2013-001381 was filed by Vladimir Leon’s Campaign with the Supreme Court of the State of New York on July 23. The case will be presided by Hon. Judge L. Gerald after Hon. W. Kelly had kindly accepted application for recusal.

This Order to Show Cause and Petition request a stay on the Board of Elections’ decision to remove Vladimir Leon’s name from the Democratic Primary Ballot for county executive due to fatal errors in the citizen objector’s specific objection which include absence of service, unsubstantiated allegations, as well as violation of specific objection and administrative clauses. Citizen voters and members of the press are welcome to attend this hearing session on Thursday August 1, at 9:30 a.m., Leon said.

Vladimir Leon and his campaign also continue to petition for a new independent line Organizing Rockland, which focuses on reorganizing Rockland’s tax and economic development approach.
