DWI Arrests in Clarkstown

The Clarkstown Police Department made the following driving while intoxicated arrests this past weekend.

On Aug 3, 2013 shortly after midnight, Hipolito Silva-Gonzalez, 50, from Valley Cottage, was arrested while operating a 2000 Dodge on Rt 9W in Upper Nyack. Silva-Gonzalez was stopped after his vehicle swerved over the center lane marking several times. He had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and an open can of beer was observed inside of his vehicle. Silva-Gonzalez was requested to perform field sobriety tests, which he declined.

He was transported to Clarkstown Police Department Headquarters where he was administered a breathalyzer test in which he failed. Silva-Gonzalez was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated (both felonies) and several vehicle and traffic infractions. He was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court by Judge Ugell and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.

On August 3, 2013 shortly before 1 a.m., Michal Livingston, 34, from Nanuet, was arrested after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on Middletown Rd at the intersection with Rt 59 in Nanuet. Livingston was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi and rear-ended a 2010 Toyota which was stopped at the traffic light. Livingston appeared to be intoxicated and was requested to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Livingston was transported to Clarkstown Police Department Headquarters where she refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. She was charged with driving while intoxicated (felony) and arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court before Judge Ugell. Livingston was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.

On August 4, 2013 shortly after 1 a.m., Jacob Koff, 21, from Monsey, was arrested while operating a 2012 Honda on West Clarkstown Rd in Nanuet. Koff was stopped after his vehicle was observed making multiple vehicle and traffic infractions. Koff had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and appeared to be intoxicated.

He was requested to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed. Koff was transported to Clarkstown Police Department Headquarters where he was administered a breathalyzer test in which he also failed. Koff was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Clarkstown Justice Court on August 26, 2013 to answer two counts of driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor).
