Continuing a trend this campaign season, a Stony Point Democrat showed up prominently at an event for county executive candidate Ilan Schoenberger (D – New Square/Wesley Hills). Pictured here, second from the left, is Stony Point Councilman Jim McDonnell (D), appearing on behalf of Town Supervisor Geoff Finn (D). At the above event, Schoenberger and County Clerk Paul Piperato (D) cross-endorsed each other’s candidacies.
Legislator Ed Day (R – New City) is expected to win the county executive vote in Stony Point by a landslide this November. In contrast, the vote in Ramapo is likely to favor Schoenberger by a hefty margin. Orangetown also figures to go heavily for Day, while Clarkstown and Haverstraw remain to be seen.
