“Hey pal, do you have a dollar?” “No.” “Well then, have some of this: pow!”
So went the evening of Tuesday, August 13 for one unlucky victim, according to Clarkstown Police. At approximately 10 p.m., Angelo Eyssallenne, 58, from Congers was arrested for assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, for allegedly attacking a man in the parking lot of St Paul’s Church in Congers.
The victim, 35, was an employee of the church. Eyssallenne allegedly approached the victim and asked for money. When the victim didn’t give Eyssallenne money, Eyssallenne began to punch the victim about the head and body, causing him to incur bruises and lacerations.
Though he was roughed up, the victim refused transport to the hospital. Eyssallenne fled the scene on a bicycle, but was located a short distance away. He was placed under arrest and transported to Clarkstown Police Headquarters where he was held for arraignment.
