Former longtime Rockland County Medical Examiner Dr. Frederick Zugibe has passed away at the age of 85.
Zugibe was a pioneer in his field and gained international recognition for his study of the Shroud of Turin.
Dr. Zugibe’s son Thomas is currently the Rockland County DA and many other Zugibe relatives have risen to prominence in the county during his lifetime.
