Jane Lemkin from the Literacy Volunteers of Rockland County will be leading informational sessions on how to become a United States citizen. The workshop sessions will be held Monday, September 23 and run from 6:00 โ 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 25 from 6 โ 8:30 p.m. in the libraryโs Community Room.
Session 1 – will cover the process of becoming a US Citizen: forms, requirements, cost, interview, score guidelines, questions, vocabulary and 1-912 waiver.
Session 2 – will cover line-by-line completion of the N-400 US Citizen application and what to expect going forward.
These workshops are sponsored by the Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS) through our Outreach funds. The Ramapo Catskill Library System is a state mandated organization serving 47 member libraries in Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and part of Ulster Counties. RCLS provides centralized automation, consulting and support services, delivery of materials, coordinates and facilitates cooperation among member libraries, and is engaged in advocacy for and promotion of public libraries.
