The Rockland Community Foundation announced the addition of the following new fund to its portfolio:
Rockland Alliance for Health (RAH) is a non-profit organization leading Rockland to be the healthiest community in the nation by providing financial and technical assistance to community and faith-based organizations to implement public health interventions that are evidenced-based and result in sustainable changes in policy, practice and the environment.
“Working with the Rockland Community Foundation is a natural union for Rockland Alliance for Health (RAH),” explains RAH Board President Una Diffley. “Our partnership will help RAH further its ongoing goal of providing financial awards for sustainable public health initiatives to local faith and community based organizations to assist Rockland County become the healthiest community in the nation.”
“We are extremely pleased to welcome the Rockland Alliance for Health to the Rockland Community Foundation,” said President Patrick Byrne. “Our first agency fund, it clearly demonstrates the opportunities that a community foundation offers non-profits to further their mission and broaden their exposure in the community. We encourage other non-profits in our community to consider the benefits of establishing their own agency fund with the Foundation.”
