STONY POINT โ€“ The probe into missing cash from a vehicle parked at the Stony Point Ambulance Corps building has led to a theft charge against 30-year-old Josef M. Segelbacher, according to Stony Point Police.

Lt. Keith Williams said the theft was reported on Friday, Sept. 27, and an investigation led to Segelbacherโ€™s arrest on Saturday, Sept. 28. Segelbacher is charged with petty larceny and he was released pending a hearing in Stony Point Town Court on Nov. 7.

Segelbacher is listed as โ€œundomiciledโ€ by police, with no available address. Information on the amount of money taken and the ownership of the vehicle involved was not available.

Itโ€™s the second time in the past 18 months Segelbacher has found himself in trouble. In May 2012 he was arrested in Pomona by the Rockland County Sheriffโ€™s Department on charges of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and a felony charge of driving with a suspended license. The Rockland County District Attorneyโ€™s Office says that case is still pending in court.
