Nanuet Hebrew Center Hosting 15th Annual Mid Rockland Arts Festival

The Nanuet Hebrew Center is hosting the 15th Mid Rockland Arts Festival on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24, 2013. The Festival is located at 411 South Little Tor Road in New City, NY.

The Festival will kickoff Saturday evening with a gala โ€œsponsors saleโ€ and cocktail reception. Those attending Saturdayโ€™s reception will have the first opportunity to purchase works of art and meet the talented artists. During the reception, members Kari Warren, Cynthia Schneider, and Claire and Joel Goldelman will be honored for their years of dedication to the synagogue. Saturday evening admission for one, as a Friend of the Arts, is $25. Ticket admission for two includes the option of a Sponsor of the Arts for $50 and Patron of the Arts for $100.

On Sunday, the event is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday tickets are $6 per person with a $3 discount if you mention this advertisement. The festival will feature a versatile mix of paintings, jewelry, textiles, glasswork, metalwork, photography, sculpture and Judaica. Many of the artists are internationally renowned and are returning by popular demand, such as Gabrieli Hand Weaving and Sharon Arts (jewelry from Israel), Jewels by Amy Kanarek, Meryl Raffman (aprons), YN Photography, Tie Dye Earth, Howard Vinchisnky (Judaica pottery), jewelry artists Dorit Zadok, Barbara Mittler, Margo Konikoff, Rami Bareket, and Lorelei Gruss, and crochet items by Christina Cheong, Rose Pollack, and Claire Gondelman.

We are proud to introduce several new artists, including Shadow of David (Judaica), Anna Fugazzi (acrylic on glass and canvas), Talmaโ€™s Unique Jewerly, Brenda Fishkin (watercolor), Judy Levit (watercolor), Diane Kowaiski (talliot), Handmade Needlepoint Designs by Gail, and Matana Ramatiy (jewelry). Refreshments will be provided in the Art Cafรฉ.
