Thiells Church Music Director Ricky Romano Gets Role in off Broadway Musical “Towards The Moon”

Ricky Romano of Stony Point has been playing roles and directing several Hudson Valley shows, including starring as Sam in the Off-Broadway show “Towards the Moon” opening November 19 at the 59E59 Theatres, 59th Street in New York City.

Sam is the buddy of Bobby in the production. Bobby is a frustrated, dreamer type fed up with the everyday monotony and angered with the lack of inspiration that leaps out of the streets of Greenrock, a mythical upstate Catskills town. Sam, Bobby’s best friend, is a happy go lucky fellow and like Bobby wanders aimlessly and inadvertently falls in love with Bobby’s ex-girlfriend Mandy and eventually marries her. Bobby suffers an illness and goes into a coma and the musical gets dramatic.

“Towards The Moon” was written by Scottish author Andrew MacGregor, is produced by Infinity Repertory Company and directed by Paul Andrew Perez.
