STONY POINT CRIME 1/12/14

DWI & OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE VIOLATIONS
Justin M. Hansen, age 24, residing at 11 Buckberg Rd., Tomkins Cove, NY, was arrested on January 8, 2014 for DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, refusal of breath screening device, reckless driving, unlawful fleeing in motor vehicle and numerous other vehicle and traffic offenses. Stony Point Police arrested the defendant after he attempted to flee a vehicle and traffic stop. Subsequent to said vehicle and traffic stop it was determined that the operator, the above defendant, was operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. The defendant was operating said motor vehicle while unlicensed and while his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in NYS was suspended 10x for failure to answer a summons. The defendant was held for arraignment and later released on $50 cash bail. He is to be back in the Stony Point justice Court on January 22, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON
Arnold Pabon, age 33, residing at 451 Call Hollow Rd, Lot #10, Stony Point, NY, was arrested on January 1, 2014 for assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into an unknown dispute. It is alleged that the above defendant did cause a physical injury to the victim by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher. The victim was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released. The defendant was arrested, processed, and arraigned in the Stony Point Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail. He was due back in court on January 6, 2014.

PETIT LARCENY & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
John Quevedo, age 26, residing at 10 Indian Dr., Stony Point, NY, was arrested on January 1, 2014 for petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation where it is alleged he stole an iPad. The defendant was arrested, processed and issued an appearance ticket returnable in Stony Point Justice Court on February 6, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

DWI
Angeline DeJoseph, age 22, residing at 510 Everett Pl., Maybrook, NY, was arrested on December 29, 2103 for DWI as a felony, aggravated DWI as a felony and criminal possession of a controlled substance. The Stony Point Police arrested the defendant after responding to a call for an erratic driver. Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop of the involved vehicle, it was determined that the defendant was driving while in an intoxicated condition. The charges were upgraded to a felony due to a previous conviction for DWI within the last 10 years. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable January 22, 2104 at 1:30 p.m. after posting $100 cash bail.

FORGERY & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Guy T. Guarino, age 50, residing at 234 North Liberty Dr., Tomkins Cove, NY, was arrested on January 7, 2014 for forgery in the second degree (x12) and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree. The defendant was arrested after a warrant investigation revealed an active bench warrant for listed charges out of the Town of Clarkstown. The defendant was arrested, processed and turned over to the Clarkstown Police Department to answer said charges.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION
Brian Estrella, age 22, residing at 102 Samsondale Ave., West Haverstraw, NY, was arrested on January 3, 2014 for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree. The defendant was arrested after he was picked up by the Spring Valley Police Department on an active bench warrant out of Stony Point and turned over to this agency to answer said charge. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable January 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. after posting $100 cash bail.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
Jason Samuels, age 30, residing at 38 Pine Ln., New City, NY, was arrested on December 30, 2013 for criminal contempt. The defendant was arrested after he turned himself in on an active bench warrant out of Stony Point for stated charge. The defendant was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on an appearance ticket returnable Janaury 7, 2014 at 9 a.m.
