It’s 1:30 a.m. on a freezing February day at photographer Jake Manheim’s Greenwich Village apartment when struggling novelist Harry Levine appears with small change in his pocket. He owes Jake considerable money and the two argue about the money, life in general and the novel. Such is the setting of the play “Chinese Coffee” opening next week at Nyack Village Theatre. It’s a guy-guy thing starring John Mirabella of the Bronx, formerly of Rockland County and noted Rockland County actor Kevin Cannon.
Performance dates have been rescheduled to January 24 through Saturday February 8. “Chinese Coffee” is a perfect blend heightened by vibrant and vivid language of two men slugging it out in a mixture of disclose and recriminations.
